Mapleson F (Jackson-Rees) non-rebreathing circuit for veterinary anesthesia, designed for efficient gas delivery and CO₂ removal with low resistance, ideal for small animals.
The RWD R-NBC-F(JR) is a Mapleson F non-rebreathing circuit (Jackson-Rees modification) designed for the delivery of oxygen and anesthetic gases and the removal of carbon dioxide during general anesthesia. It is widely used in veterinary anesthesia, especially for small animals, due to its low resistance and minimal dead space.
The Jackson-Rees configuration includes a reservoir bag attached to the expiratory limb, allowing both spontaneous and controlled ventilation. The open-ended bag can be manually occluded to provide positive pressure when required, while its elasticity helps buffer pressure and reduce the risk of barotrauma. The transparent design allows continuous monitoring of the patient’s respiration.
This breathing circuit is compatible with standard anesthesia system components and can be integrated with accessories such as exhaust tubes, extension kits, and gas supply hoses.
